Steele is super friendly with people but is a bit exciteable and would most likely knock over small children and toddlers. He bonds very quickly and wants to be a lap dog. 

He is afraid of my husband when he is sitting in his recliner-especially when he picks up the remote. I am assuming he was abused by someone who sat in a chair similar to ours.  He is friendly and approaches my husband when he is not in the chair.

 

He is not food aggressivie and I've reached in his mouth several times to retrieve socks, paper towels, and sticks. (He really enjoys all three.) He loves to play with other dogs, toys, and balls. Steele loves attention and uses his body to try to keep the other dogs from getting to me.  He mouths at their ears and places himself between them and me. We are working on this and with repeated commands he will sit and wait his turn until I am finished petting the other dogs.  Steele is very smart and super motivated to make you happy, so he is very trainable.  He needs continued training on the leash-sometimes he is perfectly happy walking on a slack leash beside you and sometimes he pulls.  He is housetrained and has never had an accident in the house. 

Overall he is a fabulous dog, super sweet and loving.  He still has a lot of "puppy" left in him so would do best with a family that is a little more active.  He loves to give lots of kisses and snuggle with his people.
