Our Wally is quite the celebrity! This sweet pup was spotted outside of the San Bernardino Walmart on May 26th with a homeless woman who loved him but was trying to give him away because of an injured paw. 

A good Samaritan posted his picture and story on Facebook. We shared his story too, and people donated and rallied behind Wally, so we were able to have the good Samaritan pick him up from the homeless woman. We waited on pins and needles for word she got him, because she asked the woman to bring him back to Walmart the next day. This was BEFORE she knew if she could even find a rescue for Wally. She drove to Walmart a few times throughout the day, but no Walkly! Finally after her 4th visit - there he was!! His owner cried but felt she was doing the right thing for Wally.

We met him at our vet, who said the reason he was limping - his right paw pad was raw & scraped, probably from walking on the hot black pavement. All healed now and adoption ready!

He is fun-loving, energetic and very goofy. He is learning leash walking, sit, paw, and other basic commands - he is so intelligent and could go far in training if someone wanted to take him there! He reminds his 12-yr-old human foster sister of "Max" from the movie, so she enjoys working with him.
