If you're looking for a quiet, small to medium-sized guy, Kerouac is your boy.

We originally pulled Kerouac from San Bernardino City Shelter in 2016 where he was urgent as a 3-mo-old pup due to Ringworm. We treated him, he healed beautifully, and he was adopted by a wonderful prior Cause Adopter and longtime supporter. 

Sadly, she passed away during the recent Southern CA snowstorms, and Kerouac needs a home. He is now about seven years old and prefers women. He loves other dogs and is scared of cats, but can live peacefully with cats. Shy at first, once he warms up, he is a cuddly love bug. He likes to sit at the feet of the family member currently holding him, while she works at her desk.

He is some type of terrier mix that could have some shepherd mixed in, but he is definitely not close to Shepherd size. He loved going on hikes, but now at this age, he is perfectly content running around the backyard, going on short walks, and mainly just lounging.
