About Fang

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Current Age: 2 Years 7 Months (best estimate)

Mastiff &/or Bloodhound experienced adopters needed!

Fang is one of a litter of 5 born 9/4/21, along with Brutus, Bettina (the only female), Sirius & Griffin.

Foster Mom describes Fang and Sirius, both fostered together as "really easy-going, playful, love naps and pretty independent. They love snuggles but for short bursts and then they need play with the other dogs or they'll just hang out on their own. They love toys and tennis balls too."

As you see in his pics, Fang inherited more of his bloodhound mom's features - droopy eyes and extra droopy skin. He may need some nips and tucks in his eyes as an adult if the drooping is very pronounced, so anyone who adopts Famg will need to watch for that.

A groomer's Bloodhound accidentally mated with a neighbor's Cane Corso (Mom will be spayed). What a mix! Because they will be XL and have characterisitcs from both breeds (some of which can be challenging), adopters with large-breed experience a must, and puppy and ongoing training will be necessary to ensure once these pups are grown, they will be well-mannered, manageable adults.

When we first got this little family, the pups tested positive for coccidia (but were parvo negative, thank God!). They have been treated, are feeling much better, and have all had their 2nd round of puppy shots.

We're taking pre-adoption apps now. Pups will be officially adopted after neuter 6 mos old, and we can do spay/neuter contracts so adopters can bond with their new pups as soon as possible, a and adopters will bring them to our vet in San Bernardino for spay/neuter, chip, etc.

Our puppy fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines: Oral Bordetella, Rabies, and 3 rounds of DAPP, and any other medical needed (umbilical hernia repair, dangling dew claw removal, etc.).
