Our dear Hope has taken a long time to warm up to us, and she may be very shy for quite some time.
She needs that special someone that has a heart for rescue babies and understands the shy and fearful ones. We give her her space and let her come to us when she wants — chicken always does it, which is great to see because she would not eat anything from our hands for months. 

Hope was the last dog left in a squallid apartment that was condemned after the owner was sent to the hospital. We were told she had over 30 animals there, all picked up by other rescues or animal control. Hope remained because they couldn’t catch her. When we got there, this scared little girl hid under a bed, but we eventually got her out and to our home, where she has been fostered ever since and has come so far.
